Process

 

Once the vehicle has been torn down, the Body in White (BIW) outer surfaces are 3D scanned.

Photos of the inside reinforcements are provided.

The body is then symmetrically cut along the Y axis.

Individual body panels are removed and reviewed on the left half of the body.

Measurements relating to thickness, hardness, and chemical composition are recorded.

The right half of the body is reserved for sectioning.

Navigation schematics are provided, allowing the customer to easily access data on individual panels.
